HAULIERS keen to diversify into providing lorry parking and overnight accommodation for drivers are being canvassed by a Birmingham firm of chartered surveyors.
Neale and Alldridge, based at 50 Newhall Street, Birmingham, B3 3QE (phone 021-236 2066), is offering a British Waterways Board six-acre site off Wharfedale Road, Tyseley (between the A45 and A41), for lease at £45,000 a year.
The company believes there is scope for a lorry park in the area, and for the site to be used as a Midlands haulage depot.
It envisages warehousing, parking, repair and maintenance, offices, hotel, canteen, entertainments and open storage being provided on the site.
