Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I was interested in the "'Road and Workshop" article ''Safety measures: (7) A doubtful GV10" (CM, December 29).

One answer to the trouble mentioned— persistent loosening of half-shaft studs— is to turn up step studs. Then when the halfshaft is back in position the flange will stop the studs from slackening off in the hub.

Also I use stud boxes for replacing studs— standard aircraft practice.
