speed of nearly 70 m.p.h., only one vindow pane was broken in the Midland Red CM.5 coach which overturned 1st week on MI While travelling to ,ondon. Mr. D. M. Sinclair, general -tanager of the Birmingham Midland 4otor Omnibus Co., Ltd., told The 'onzmercial Motor that the coach was amaged to a remarkably small extent nd that it could almost have been driven way once it had been righted. Mr. inclair added that he was most relieved aat none of the passengers had been eriously injured.

The incident occurred, claimed Mr. inclair, when the driver of the coach ad to swerve to avoid a car that was &DM of him while he was travelling own the fast lane and, in swerving, the oach's off-side front wheel "bit" into le soft grass of the centre reservation, 4th the inevitable result that the coach werved and turned on to its side.

It is a remarkable testimony to the Tength and rigidity of the design of this itegral coach that the damage was so :ight, thereby vindicating the use of these igh-speed vehicles on regular coaching ervices.
