Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A SOUTH Yorkshire haulage firm with depots in Doncaster and Rotherham is being wound up owing creditors more than £21,000.

Fearn’s Haulage was placed into liquidation earlier this month and insolvency practitioner Dave Clark at Clark Business Recovery is now winding up the firm.

Vosa records show that boss Nigel Fearn had authorisation to operate 16 vehicles out of two depots, but according to one local creditor the firm was only running a few vehicles in recent months.

“He was just trading with a couple of pick-ups,” says James Walton, at JP Walton & Son Transport.

“He had an office in our yard. We did some bits and bobs for him and he did some for us, but we don’t see anything of him now. He owes us about £400, but I think we’ve written that off. We have not received anything from the liquidator yet.” CM was unable to contact Nigel Fearn as we went to press. Dave Clark did not respond.
