The Kerax has built a solid reputation as a sturdy and nearunstoppable rnuckaway truck, but tts heavier frame means it is Often shunned by weight-sensltive operators in favour of lighter contemporaries built by market leaders Volvo, Scania and the Paccar group. From October, the Kerax will have six-cylinder 11-litre dCi common rail engine technology, and the Furo-3 range MI be cut down to three trucks. There will be a single 26-tonne 6x4 311hp rigid with peak torque rated at 1,210Nm between 1,0001,70Orpm, fitted with the ZF nine speed 109 gearbox.
The two 32-tonne eight-leggers gain a 361hp engine with 1,670Nm of torque between 1,050-1,400rpm, and a 412hp engine with torque rated at 1,870Nm from 1,050-1,350rpm. Both will have ZF's 85151 eightspeed gearbox as standard.
