DESPITE not being a name normally associated with bus chassis, ERF in South Africa is supplying a fleet of locallybodied ERF Trailblazer single-deck bus chassis to Putco, CED, and Germiston Municipal Transport.
The ERF Trailblazer is a conventional chassis powered by a Gardner 6LXB front engine coupled to an SCG semi-automatic four or five speed gearbox and a Rockwell R170 single drive rear axle_ A ZF six speed manual gearbox is available as an option. The chassis is available with wheelbases which allows 11.9m and 12.3m bodies to be fitted.
