whose formation was recorded in The Commercial Motor of July 5, is to expand its "catchment area" from a radius of 15 miles centred on Portsmouth to a radius of 30 miles. As well as Gosport, Fareham and Chichester as at present. it will thus include Southampton, Winchester, Bognor, Alton and Alresford.
This will enable operators outside the original limit, hut who have expressed interest in the scheme, to take up shares; the secretary of the group, Mr. W. J. Aylward, told The Commercial Motor this week that it was felt that the 15-mile limit had proved unduly restrictive, although there had already been an encouraging number of applications for shares in the group.
