Inter Allied Reparations Agency. Brussels. In this, Britain has secured equipment from a number of works, mainly in the form of urgently needed _machine tools. The procedure for disposing of this material will normally follow the lines of the existing disposal schemes for the sale of Government surplus machinery. Items will be sold and delivered to buyers' works, and will be expected to realize prices roughly equivalent to those ruling in the country for corresponding equipment in used condition. Most of the plant from the first bitch will probably go to the steel industry. Dismantling and shipping will commence immediately.

"ALDERSHOT AND DISTRICT" RESULTS 'THE total income of the Aldershot I and District Traction Co., Ltd., in the year ended May 31 last, was £746,283, compared With £831,272 a year earlier. After deducting taxation, depreciation, etc., the net revenue was £41,515, contrasted with £28,985 in the previous year. A final dividend of 6 per cent, and a bonus of 5 per cent. are to be paid, making 15 per cent, for the year, and after deducting £10,000 allocated to general reserve, £57,826 remains to be carried forward, as against £46,436 brought in.

WAR ON PESTS IN PASSENGER VEHICLES I NTERIORS of all London Transport's buses, trains, trams, trolleybuses and coaches are to be sprayed regularly with " D.D.T." every three months, to destroy flies and ()the; insect pests. This work will be done at all garages and depots in the ordinary course of maintenance. Special attention will be paid to the interior coachwork and upholstery.
