Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Cummins has changed the cylinder head fixings and tightening requirements on its NT, L10, B and C Series engines. In place of the usual torque set bolts the new fixings are tightened to a specified torque and turned a further 90°.

The new bolts can be used in place of the old fixings and have markings on their heads for identification. The tightening torques are: B-Series 120Nm in two stages plus 90'; C-Series 145Nm in two stages plus 90'; L10 217Nm in two stages plus 90°; 14-litre 298Nm in two stages plus 90°.
