Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TRANSPORT specialists and training managers from a dozen European countries are to meet in London from April 27 to 30 to discuss "Current socioeconomic problems in the transport sector and how vocational training responds to them."

In addition to national and international government bodies members of international organisations such as the International Federation of Forwarding Agents (FIATA) and International Road Union (IRU) will participate.

The wide subject matter includes : • Discussions on the economic and employment situation in road and ancillary transport activities in Europe • The trend of vocational training since 1972 • Problems in training drivers of trucks for international transport • Training commercial staff in transport firms • Management training for heads of small and medium companies ; and management training problems in large companies.

English, French and German will be the working languages of study sessions.

The opening speech for the conference—the Fourth European Study Session on Vocational Training in the Transport Sector—will be given by Transport Minister Dr John Gilbert.
