• A fully illustrated and informative booklet on the bulk handling of feeds, seeds and fertilizers has been published by the National Association of Corn and Agricultural Merchants, Cereal 1-louse, Mark Lane, London EC3R 7NP, at 50p. The information given in the booklet was compiled by a special sub-committee of the NACAM transport committee.
Subjects covered include methods of loading and discharge, types of bulk vehicle, storage, handling on the farm, composition of materials, the particular problems of handling and applying fertilizer, safety precautions and future trends. Diagrammatic illustrations are used to show various do's and don'ts in storage and handling practices and in making pipe connections.
