AIRCRAFT METHODS USED IN BODYBUILDING

A1RCRAFT production methods used in the construction of bus bodies have enabled Scottish Aviation. Ltd., Prestwick Airport, to manufacture a 32-seater luxury coach body of aluminium and other light alloys which is said to be 10 cwt. lighter than those made by the ordinary method.

The company last week exhibited one of the bodies, built to the order of Northern Roadways, Ltd., Glasgow, and fitted to an A.E.C. Regal chassis. Bodies built by the company's system can be shipped in sections for assembly overseas.
