LAST Monday afternoon the 150,000th tractor to be bu t at the Ford works at Dagenham ca e off the assembly line. The great ma ority of these tractors is in use in a iculture, but a number has found a v riety of uses in industry and the Ser ices.
It will be recalled that the Rt. on. R. S. Hudson, M.P., Minister of griculture, when he opened the." Fa ming for Victory " exhibition at the Ford showrooms in Regent Street, Lo don, W.1, last month, said there are now over 120,000 tractors ploughing fo victory on British farms. Over 8 per cent, of all the tractors in us• on British farms are Fordsons.
