• Leyland Daf Vans (LDV) has announced interim pre-tax profits of .C8.3m on a turnover of £72m in the six months to 30 June. LDV's Norman Childs attributed the 28% increase in profits to increased sales of vans built to order and to a 50% surge in its press shop's panel business with Land Rover.
L Multipart (Holdings), which owns LDV's fellow Leyland Daf management buyout company Multipart Distribution, made £1.5m net profit on sales of £ 48m in the five months to 31 December.
