The Road Haulage & Distribution Training Council says the TECs—and their Scottish equivalents, LECs—should count the CPC and dangerous goods driver training courses towards a National or Scottish Vocational Qualification.

The TECs have to direct their funding principally towards NVQ courses, says RHDTC chief executive David Scott. He does not know of any TEC which is funding CPC or dangerous goods driver training.
