THE public service vehic licensing system has accumi lated a £3.6 million deficit sinc April 1974 and is causing th Exchequer a net loss of ov( £180,000 a month.
These figures were reveale in the Commons last week b Mr William Rodgers, th Transport Minister when h explained why a psv licenc had risen from £12.50 a year t £45.
The costs of the licensin system had risen substantial] since fees had been la increased in 1969, said IV Rodgers, and the new fe€ would make an inroad into th deficit.
