I READ YOUR news story with interest (‘ING Lease leaves UK asset finance market,’ CM 15 November). T&L Leasing received some coverage from yourselves when we formed the business just over four years ago.
Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength: we remain exclusively focused on the logistics sector (which I think is unique) and are now writing just over a £100m of new business per annum.
To put the ING story into context, it represents 6% of the new business we have written to date in 2012; there are many other funders (often non-UK banks) out there looking for good-quality business in our sector, but as your article eludes to, it’s about having the right “entry point” . That’s where a professional introducer can help operators and add value.
