John Snell based at DarLaston, has been appointed commercial services manager to lead the drive for fleet management opportunities in the Midlands and the North.

• Montracon Trailers has appointed Des O'Connor, 43, to head its UK marketing operation.

O'Connor, who spent 10 years with Crane Fruehauf, will be based at Mantracon's new UK headquarters, at Toddington, near Luton.

O'Connor says, "We are in the first stage of a major expansion programme on the UK mainland. This appointment, and the opening of the Toddington depot, reflects our commitment to the UK trailer market."
