Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Drester bead blasting can be used on a variety of machine parts including vehicle wheels, brake discs, drainage pumps, cylinder heads and injection moulds.

All blasting is carried out in an enclosed chamber of 700mm (271/2in) diameter. A big tilt-up lid simplifies loading, while a toughened, scratch resistant, horizontal glass panel and exterior fluorescent lamp give clear visibility. Built-in cuffs and separate gloves offer the operator protection and unrestricted movement in the blasting chamber.

Rust and impurities are blasted away using pistol power. The media is fed to the pistol via a light, flexible, polyurethane hose. Here, it is fired at great force (90-150psi; consuming air at the rate of 10-20cfrn) and on striking the target is sucked back down into the container, where it undergoes separation from the blast waste and is recycled for re-blasting. The container is connected to an industrial vacuum system which provides the suction.

The bead blaster's quickchange coupling facilitates a rapid substitution of one media container for another. The media type used depends on the desired result aluminium silicate is better suited to courser surfaces; while glass beads should be used on more delicate ones. A variety of other blast mediums can be used with the Drester Bead Blaster.
