CRANE FRUEHAUF is to become fitting and servicing agents for Avolift, manufacturer of tailgate loaders.
Operators who need fitting or servicing of an Avolift unit can have all necessary work carried out at a convenient depot within Crane Fruehauf's nationally spread network. The agreement covers not only new, but existing Avolift users who require any form of work on their units, says CF.
The Avolift tailgate loader is of the chassis-mounted variety, with operation by either a vehicle mounted control panel or an extension lead allowing the operator great flexibility when the lift is in use. The system is totally hydraulic. There is claimed to be no neces
sity for any form of "man-handling".
The tailgate loader is equipped with an automatic ground inclination device, which 'enables the lift to align itself with
the surface on to which it is be ing lowered. The whole systerr is powered independently of thE tractive unit by two large capa city batteries fixed underneatlthe trailer.
