It is offered by Sponcel, Ltd., 40 Chancery Lane, London, W.C.2, and recommended for the cleaning of commercial vehicles, parts of which are not readily accessible when hand mops are used without steps.

A member of the staff of The Commercial Motor found that a QuickMop greatly reduced the time needed to wash his car and remove moisture from it, but that obstinate grease spots still needed attention by a hand sponge.

Refill sponge heads for the Quick-Mop, which has a number of other uses, cost 5s. 4d.

Maintenance Charts ASERIES of maintenance wall charts is being issued by Leyland Motors, Ltd., Leyland, Lancs. The first two are Nos. 101 and 102: No. 101 deals with the care of fuel injectors, and No. 102 details information about undersize and oversize components, shims and packing washers. The charts are 2 ft. 8 in. wide and 2 ft. 1 in. deep. Copies will be sent to Leyland operators, and additional ones will be supplied at 3s. 6d. eaoh.

Light Containers A RANGE of battery containers 1-3. designed to meet the current trend for lightness and compactness has been evolved by United Ebonite and Lorival, Ltd., Little Lever, Bolton, Lancs. The battery makers' name and trade mark may be impressed in colours on the side.

Improved Pumps ARANGE of lubrication equipment known as the Golden Standard has been introduced by the Weaver Manufacturing and Engineering Co., Ltd., Bedford. Units incorporate three airoperated pumps of novel design. These have ratios of 50: 1 for grease, 4: 1 for

transmission oils and 2: 1 for engine oils. There is a standard air motor common to each ratio. The pumps can be operated with pressures as low as 65 p.s.i., although 140 p.s.i, is needed for best efficiency. They need no lubrication throughout their life.

New spring-operated hose reels with pressed-steel carriers are also offered: The hub assembly rotates through double ball bearings, and the spring mechanism provides smooth hose movement. Each reel has a filter for the protection of the hub assembly.

The Golden Standard grease gun is stated to be lighter and more compact than any previous design, and to have a light action.

QTATED to be capable of withstand ing 100 m.p.h. winds, a garage shutter door made of 16-gauge sherardized !eaves attached to a collapsible frame by non-ferrous hinging strips is being offered by the Bolton Gate Co., Ltd., Waterloo Street, Bolton, Lancs. The outer edges of the leaves are also connected with non-ferrous strips.

Doors may be made to suit any size of opening and are stated to be easy to open or shut because all the leaves move at the same time. Power equipment may be controlled by push-button, photoelectric cell apparatus or floor pads. Safety devices are incorporated and the surfaces may be painted in any colour.

• La the Accessories °THREEmulti-purpose boring-tool holders for use on English-pattern lathes are being offered by James Neill and Co. (Sheffield), Ltd., Napier Street, Sheffield, 11. The cutter . bar can be adjusted or removed without interfering with the setting of the holder. Each holder has a double-ended type of enter bar in ,Which the slots are machined at angles of 90° and 450 respectively. Holders will accommodate all four sizes of Eclipse, boring bar as well as other tools such as drills and reamers that are within their Capacity.

THE latesf addition to the Worcester range of bench power presses made by Jones and Attwood, Ltd., Stourbridge, is one' of 6 'tons 'capacity with an open height of 1 ft: 04 in. and a throat depth of 7 in. The bed measures 1 ft. 1 in. square.'

Driven by twin V-belts from a 1 h.p. mutor, giving a flywheel speed of 180 r.p.m. the press can be made available with fixed strokes of 14. in., 4in. and 4. in. There is If in. of ram .adjustment.

Towing Link ALINK to draw vehicles fitted with 2-in. internal diameter towing eyes or hooks has been produced by Harvey Frost and Co., Ltd., Bishop's Stortford. Priced at £2, it may be attached to the yoke end of the towing pole by means of a spring-loaded drop-nosed pin. A 1-in. bolt and nut is included with the link, and an anti-rattle rubber ring can be provided.

Luminous Compass rE Lumin is a compass which may be attached to the windscreen by means of a suction pad and has luminous markings. It is marketed by the Pool Clock Co., 30 City Road, London, E.C.1, at £1 19s. 6d.
