• Arrangements for the movement of cattli to be switched from rail to road transport ii this country have been completed by th, British and Irish Line Ltd. It has reache( an agreement with 50 hauliers to provide service for all cattle shipped through Birken head from Ireland, and has announced ; reduction in the port-to-port charge of lOs ti 47s a head.
Since Wednesday the B and I Line ha not accepted cattle for onward movement i: Britain by rail. It says this decision has bee taken because BR says it can no longe guarantee a supply of cattle wagons a Birkenhead.
