Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Renault Truck Industries and Reynolds Boughton are jointly developing a new 4x4 six-tonne GVW model based on the Renault Messenger. The 4x4 Messenger available in France is rated at around three to four tonnes and Renault opted to develop a new model to meet the higher weight requirements of the UK market.

Reynolds Boughton has developed a 2.7-tonne disc braked front axle for the vehicle, which is expected to be available in van and chassis-cab derivatives. Power will comve from the existing 2.5-litre Sofim turbo-diesel engine. Prototypes are currently being evaluated on and off road. Vehicles will go on sale in the autumn.
