25 years forward in transport strategy
II A national transport conference is to be held with the aim discussing and establishing a strategy for transport in the long term. The conference will study the ideal for 2020 and how to achieve it. Business people and politicians are invited to attend the two day London conference, which starts on 27 October.

Light show at the NEC in 1994
• Some light commercial vehicle manufacturers will be displaying their ranges at next year's Motor Show. The show will be held at the Birmingham NEC with trade days on 19,20 and 22 October and public days from 22 to 30 October.

• The Freight Transport Association is holding a transport legislation seminar for National Health Service Trusts at Heathrow on 29 July.
The programme will include information on operator licensing, drivers hours regulations, engineering requirements for maintaining roadworthiness and general training.
