Mark V chassis has been secured by A.E.C., Ltd. from Oporto Municipality, Portugal. Double-deck bodies will he constructed by Uniao de Transportadores para Importacao e Comercio, Lda., who are pioneering bodywork production in Portugal.

Bolton Transport Department have ordered six Regent Mark V doubledeckers, and Valiant Direct Coaches, .Ltd., Ealing, have placed a repeat order for four Reliance coaches.

DOGS ON TRIAL

Transport Department buses for a trial period of 12 months. The dogs will have to travel on the top deck, be on a lead and the full adult fare will be required.

Southport has been one of the three. authorities in the country prohibiting dogs on buses. Only guide dogs for blind people were previously allowed.
