OUTPUT of 37,369 goods vehicles in December, 1959, brought the total for the year to 353,105, according to Board of Trade statistics. A total of 1,846 passenger vehicles was produced last December, making the year's total 17,064. _Last year's exports of goods vehicles aggregated 122,628 and of passenger vehicles 4,832: exports in December were 11,791 and 509 respectively.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, stating that the motor industry last year established records in productionand exports, put shipments of commercial vehicles at 128,091, 15.922 more than in 1958. Output in December of 39,215 commercial vehicles was the highest for any month in that year and brought the year's total to 370,484.
