• P&O Road Services have formed a new company — Munton-Europa Ltd — following acquisition of the international low-loader business of G. C. Munton Ltd, of Ruskington, Lincolnshire.
Under a new system of operations, Munton will continue to specialize in hauling heavy outsize loads throughout Britain, leaving Munton-Europa to concentrate on services to all parts of Western Europe and Scandinavia — a service which Munton has built up and expanded since the inception of regular UK-Continental and UK-Scandinavian road ferry services.
Munton-Europa operations will continue to be managed from Ruskington by Mr Leonard Carter.
