Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

From our Industrial Correspondent

I EADERS of the T.U.C. urged the J--■ Minister of Labour, Mr. John Hare, last week to include road transport premises when he introduces his Bill to regulate conditions in shops and offices in the next session of Parliament.

The deputation suggested to the Minister that the deferment of the Bill from the present session gave him an opportunity to reconsider the position.

But Mr. Hare turned down the suggestion. He told the deputation that their points had been fully discussed at earlier meetings and he continued to feel that it would not be wise to enlarge the scope of the present proposals.

Forth Bridge Tolls

QCOTTISH M.P.s were highly critical

of tolls for the Forth Road Bridge when they questioned Mr. Maclay, Scottish Secretary, in the Commons last week. He replied that proposed charges would he published so that representations and objections could be made, rand since this might result in a public inquiry he would not commit himself in advance to promising nominal or short-term tolls, as he was pressed to do.

• BIGGER BONUS
