• Arrangements for educational courses during the 1969/70 season have been announced by the Institute of the Furniture Warehousing and Removing Industry. Evening classes will again be held in London. Manchester and Wolverhampton during the winter for the Ordinary Certificate. Correspondence courses will be held for the General Certificate. Day release courses for the Ordinary Certificate will be held at centres in London. Portsmouth. and Bournemouth.
The fourth Introductory General Management course (residential) will be at Leicester from November 24 to 28. It will cover such subjects as: the range of management services; warehouse layout and handling; method study in removals and storage; costing and estimating; education and training; cost control: human relations and incentives; investment appraisal and taxation; aspects of management.
