• Cawthorn and Sinclair Ltd., of Birtley, had its application approved by the Northern LA, Mr. J. A. T. Hanlon. in Newcastle upon Tyne last week to switch 26 artics from a contract A licence with Thorn Radio Valves Ltd. to A licence.
Mr. Donald Jackson, a director, told the LA that the firm had met the objectors for talks. He said the vehicles would still carry goods for Thorn Radio and extra work was also expected from a new company, Thorn Colour Tubes Ltd. It was mostly within the UK although some was for export.
