The railways will, under nationalization, come under Sir Eustace Missenden, who was general manager of the Southern Railway, and now becomes Chairman of the Railway Executive. Lord Latham, who, on grounds of ill nealth, recently retired from being Socialist Leader of the L.C.C., has been appointed Chairman of the London Transport Executive. The respective salaries are £7,000 and 0,000 per annum. The appointments have been made by Mr. Barnes, Minister of Transport.
