Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Further details of the newest Sevel van emerged at the Paris Show last week. The Fiat Scudo, Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy will arrive in the UK next summer, offering a claimed payload of 815kg and a body volume of 4m3.

All three have a single sliding side door as standard with an optional second side door. A ladder-type screen behind the driver's seat is standard with the option of a full bulkhead. The load area is 2.06m long, 1.42m tall and 1.36m wide at floor level with 1.22m between the wheel arches. Loading height is a claimed 585mm at the rear doors and 490mm at the side.

Unlike the larger Sevel vans (Fiat Ducato, Citroen Relay and Peugeot Boxer), the Scudo/Expert/Jumpy share the same three engine options.

Petrol models are powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine developing 79hp (58kW) at 5,750rpm with 921bft (125Nm) of torque at 2,750rpm.

In addition, two Peugeot diesel options are on offer. The 1.9-litre XUD indirect-injection diesel is available in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms: naturally aspirated versions produce 69hp (51kW) at 4,600rpm with 891bft (120Nm) of torque at 2,000rpm; the turbo boosts output to 92hp (68kW) at 4,000rpm with 1451bft (196Nm) of torque at 2,250rpm. The transversely mounted engines drive the front wheels through a five-speed box.

Front suspension is by MacPherson type struts with reinforced lower wishbones and an anti-roll bar. At the rear a torsion beam axle is used with longitudinal trailing arms, a transverse reaction bar, coil springs and telescopic dampers.

Ventilated disc brakes are used at the front with drums at the rear. A servo and rear pressure limiting valve are standard with four-channel ABS as an option.

Van and chassis-cab variants will be available.
