he Avdel Nutsert may be d as an anchor nut or as a mded insert. Manufactured in I steel, stainless steel or ss, it comes in a wide range izes and thread forms.
threaded insert of high Pngth, the Nutsert is placed n one side only, and will provide a full depth of thread in blind holes, tubes, square section and sheet steel or aluminium. It can also be used in plastics and timber.
Placing Nutserts with the Type 7481 hand tool is simple. The operator threads a Nutsert on to the drive screw and places it into a pre-drilled hole. Holding the front handle of the tool firmly with one hand, the rear handle is rotated in a clockwise direction with the other. This causes the tapered section of the nutsert to shear and run up into its shell. When the hand tool meets with a marked resistance, insertion of the Nutsert is confirmed and it merely requires the rear handle to be rotated in an anticlockwise direction to withdraw the nose-piece from the Nutsert and complete the operation.
