• Mr. Werner Heubeck, head of Ulsterbus Ltd., has advised employers in Northern Ireland to stop counting heads, so far as the religion of their employees was concerned.
He told a tourist seminar at Dunmurry. Belfast. that he employed 2,000 people in his company with as many Catholics as Protestants. "But I do not count heads, and die sooner you wake up and make up your minds to stop this bloody nonsense the better," he said.
Referring to complaints about the condition
of some Ulster buses, he said that when he came to Northern Ireland four years ago he -inherited a heap of junk-. -We still have here the lousiest bus company in Britain," he said.
Advising those present not to exaggerate the recent troubles in Ulster, he advised— "don't panic-.
He added that if they did not have any more trouble they would have a boom in tourism next year because, fortunately, people had short memories.
