• The increase of 3d on the 9c1 and 1s 3d fares on London Transport buses in the suburban and country districts within the London special area, recently authorized by the Minister of Transport, will take effect on Sunday.
The new 1s fare will cover journeys of 2 and 3 miles and the 1s fid fare journeys of 4 and 5 miles in these districts. Approval for similar increases on bus services operating outside the special area, to apply later this year, is being sought from the Traffic Commissioners,
