Commercars in South Australia.

Mr. W. Crowle, of Eyes and Crowle, Ltd., Adelaide, S.A. has written to Commercial Cars, Ltd., in the following terms :—" have just returned to Adelaide after an enjoyable and instructive trip through China, Japan, and the Philippines, and I just wish to thank you for your attention to ine, together with your officers, at your Luton works, while in England. Although I have only hen back in Adelaide a few days, I have already had conversations with several owners of Commercars, and they are very well satisfied with the general performances of their lorries while I have been abroad ; in fact, very few complaints are forthcoming. Mr. T. G. Ellery, the General Manager of the Metropolitan Abattoirs Board, advises me that the whole fleet of twenty seven-boners, which they are running as you know, has been giving them every satisfactioo. This, I think, considering the hard work this fleet is called upon to do, does great credit to the design, quality, material and work. manship of these machines. A great amount of credit in this connection is due to Mr. Martin, who is foreman of the motor garage, and has charge of all the trucks at me Abattoirs' own workshop. To see

and hear these lorries working they seem to be in as aood order as when first put into commission. This fleet of twenty seven-tonners is used by the Metropolitan Abattoirs Board for the distribution of meat throughout the whole of Melaide and the district. The slaugh ter-houses are -under the control of this particular Board, and the whole of the meat is delivered by these motor vehicles." We have both mentioned and illustrated this big fleet on several earlier occasions. It continues to grow, and to do well.
