• When to repair or replace commercial vehicles, and the cost aspects of such decisions, will be one of the subjects at this year's I RTE national conference in Birmingham on May 9-10. Two others—the effects of the Transport Act 1968, and the organization of systems for inspection, maintenance, repair and replacement—will also be dealt with in the main business session. In each case a paper will be presented, followed by discussion.
On the first day (May 9) there will be an open session devoted to education and training, and a closed one at which Institute affairs will be discussed. The official conference reception is on the evening of May 9.
The main business session will be followed by demonstrations of equipment and methods for vehicle inspection and repair.
