Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new limited stop bus service is to be introduced tomorrow (Saturday) by Crosville Motor Services Ltd. The service, to be operated between Chester (Market Square) and Birkenhead (Woodside), will operate hourly on Saturdays only, and will be limited to 16 stops, reducing the journey time to 45min, compared with the 55min running time of the existing service Cl.

One-man operated vehicles will be used and the journeys, leaving at 20min past the hour from each end of the route, will replace the Cl departures at 20min past the hour. The remainder of the Cl service, which runs every day, will be unchanged.

It is interesting to note that this service, operated by a State-owned undertaking, has a minimum fare stage of 3d single, so that the service will be regarded as a stage service, and hence qualify for the full fuel tax rebate payable to operators of stage services.

• From Sunday three more Coventry City Transport routes go over to one-man doubledeck operation; a new limited stop service using similar vehicles will also be introduced.

The undertaking has now appointed agents to sell 8s books of tickets throughout the area served by the o-m-o routes; a handling charge is paid to them instead of commission,
