Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

RUGBY-BASED BD Commercial Services is addressing the shortage of qualified LGV mechanics by teaming up with a local college to create an apprentice scheme.

A review of the business revealed that within 10 y,ears, most of its workforce would have retired; as a result the company looked at where it could recruit younger staff and found there was a lack of opportunity for youngsters to get into the industry.

-It became clear there wasn't any training available locally,"says head of business development Simon McAusland. "Anyone wanting to train would have to go to Bristol or Scotland, so we spoke to Warwickshire College and set up an apprentice scheme.

"As a result we've had two apprentices already and the college has got two other employers on board as well."
