ABERDEENSHIRE haulage contractor A. Nicol Ltd had its margin of three vehicles removed by the Scottish LA last week.
The firm, of Skene Road, K i nto re, near lnverurie, held a licence for eight vehicles and was operating five.
The inquiry was told that two of the firm's drivers had been convicted for failing to keep current driving records.
In a second case, F. P. Cheyne, haulage contractors, also operating from the Skene Road premises of A. Nicol Ltd, had its licence for 16 vehicles reduced to 15 by the LA, Mr A. B. Birnie.
Mr Birnie was told that seven of the firm's drivers had been convicted for failing to keep current records, and two had been convicted for making false entries.
-There was also a conviction against the firm for overloading.
