Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

awards by C.

• • The Grimsby LDOY is well known for its good tanker drivers and this was emphatically emphasized by Shell-Mex and BP's four entrants on Sunday when they won six awards, Last year's overall winner, S. Chapman, had the best drive of the day, losing only 44 points, which won him class £2, best C-licence driver award and a share in the team prize, as well as the Grimsby championship.

Back to the finals goes W. Jerrard, class F2, who shared the team award, along with R. Snowden and first-time competitor H. Akrill, winner of class C, completed the quartet.

Five out of 15 entrants from Continental Oil were placed, with W. White winning the hotly-contested class H, and J. Rowbotham class El. But this wasn't all luck; for two weeks they had been practising on simulated tests and the company holds its own competition which driver White won last month. However, this emphasis on road safety has paid dividends and the Immingham depot are proud that their 38 drivers have just clocked up 500,000 accident-free miles. Intermittent rain showers could not damp the enthusiasm at this Grimsby round, which has grown again this year to 71 entrants. Almost instantaneous result announcements, efficient marshalling and a 4 p.m. finish made for a first-class event.

A number of drivers said they had been spectators in 1967 and had asked to enter this year. Class D winner B. McDaid (Clugston Transport) had been encouraged by the success of his colleague, C. L. Marham, in class G. Marham returned and won the class again but this time he was driving for Consolidated Land Services Ltd. However, the rivalry was very friendly and honour seemed even when S. Sissons collected the best A or B licensed driver cup.
