London/South-East
11 Expect serious congestion around the A4 junction with the A312 and the junctions near the southern end of the M4 Heathrow Airport spur until 19 September while it is used as a diversion during resurfacing of the M4/J3-4. Two-lane contraflows will operate both ways between the junctions. The westbound entry slip road at 33 and the eastbound entry slip road at 14 will be closed. Only two lanes will be open for London and Heathrow-bound traffic eastbound between j4 and the M25.
CIMajor widening work will lead to lane closures in both directions of the M25/J10,11 while the motorway is widened.
Midlands/E Anglia
The A45 between Felixstowe and Cambridge and the A604 between Cambridge and Huntingdon has been renumbered as the A14, linking the M1 with the M6.
The North
H Durham County Council will be resurfacing the Aycliffe southbound onsliproad of the AlM on 25 September and the northbound off-sliproad on 21 October.
D The A19 Sheraton-Peterlee northbound is being resurfaced with bridge repairs until 5 August.
El There are roadworks on the M6 between J24, (A643/A629 interchange at Ainley Top) and J25 (A644 interchange at Clifton). They are expected to last until the end of September.
Wales and the West Country
A 40mph limit and contraflow affects M4/J41-42 in West Glamorgan, until the end of the year.
El Lane restrictions while a relief road is built will slow traffic in Newport until November, El Only one lane will be open in each direction on the A449 contraflow between Usk and Raglan until early 1995. o A contraflow system and 30mph speed limit will be in force from now until the middle of November on the link road between the M5 and the A38 at 322 (Edithmead, near Burnhamon-Sea, Somerset) during essential strengthening of the bridge over the motorway Until this work is completed all vehicles over 2.9m wide will be prohibited from using the link road.
