Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE EXECUTIVE board of the National Freight Consortium is to be expanded with the appointment of five new members.

The aim is to give the employee-owned organisation's major companies main board representation because they have grown to such an extent that

they can no longer be easily accommodated in groups, says Jack Mather, who will head the board from October as chief executive.

Joining the executive board also in October will be the managing directors of Pickfords Travel, Pickfords Removals and Tempco. Respectively they are Richard Gapper, Denis 011iver and Ron Sawbridge.

At the same time Clive Beattie, who transfers from the position of managing director Tankfreight to group managing director National Services Group, also moves onto the board.

Trevor Lerman, currently group finance director BRS Group, is the fifth new board member. At present group finance director BRS Group, he becomes NFC finance director UK, effective from January 1985, when James Watson takes up his post as deputy chairman (finance).

Also announced by NFC is the appointment of David White, group managing director Pickfords Group to the same position with NFC Property Group. This move takes effect in October. In June next year he takes on an additional role as second deputy chairman of the group. He will replace Victor Paige, who will remain on the executive board.
