OPERATING costs to be borne by the Transport Departmen 1978/79 in administering the Road Fund and Driving Licence estimated at £43.4m.
Giving this figure in the Commons, Transport Under Se, tary John Horarn said that comparable figures — at const prices — for the last three years had been £61.5m, 09.4m £46.8m. The fall reflected the completion of conversion from old to the new system.
