AN OFF-ROAD vehicle costing 0,000, based on Ford Es, parts, has been developed by Manchester Garages Ltd.
Fifty-three of the company's Yak Yeoman 1,300cc-engi vehicles will be assembled this year at the Gorton Lane work Manchester. Ten will go to home market customers, the overseas, including Katmandu.
Future plans envisage 1,100 and 1,600cc engine options, ; possible assembly of 10,000 annually by 1981 at a new factor Although the Yeoman has the similar rough terrain chai teristics as four-wheel-drive vehicles such as the Land-Rove drives only through its rear wheels. A rear axle differential 1 achieves this effect.
