Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ANOTHER merger of Transport Development Group companies has married the interests of Smiths of Eccles with Harris Road Services, a Manchester company with depots in North-West England and the West Midlands.

The merger brings Harris's fleet to over 130 vehicles and 200 trailers, and includes bulk powder tanks and bulk tippers and low loaders, as well as more conventional vehicles.

General haulage and continental work is being undertaken from the Urmston headquarters in Manchester, while bulk haulage is the specialist function for the depot at Northwich, in Cheshire.

TDG companies in several areas have recently been amalgamated to increase their business potential where the strength of one company can attract work for the other.
