COMPETITION in the new coach market is creating a major price war with dealers offering special "package" coaches at particularly attractive prices.

One of the latest and most attractive offers is available from the Moseley Group, which is offering a £4,000 reduction to every buyer of its £56,000 Bova Calypso.

Other special packages include Yeates' Daf SB2300 Plaxton Paramount 3200 package which is available at £55,750, and Carlton PSV Sales' special Neoplan Jetliner package. The 57 seat Neoplan is available for £59,950. Don Everall of Wolverhampton is offering a special Van Hool Alizee-bodied Ford-powered Quest 80 11m coach for £48,500 net and several dealers are offering 11rn Bedford YNT Plaxton Paramount or Duple bodied coaches for around £42,000, which is approximately £10,000 less than list price.

Many dealers also have heavyweight coaches in stock including Daf MB200, Volvo B1OM and Leyland Tigers on offer for under £60,000.
