Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TWO MEN were killed and another seriously injured, when a French truck crashed into a brokendown artic at Dartford, Kent, in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Bedford artic, operated by GDG Transport, of Catford, London, had pulled over onto the hard-shoulder of the A2 at the Dartford Tunnel interchange.

John Doyle, a company mechanic, was called out, and with driver's mate Raymond Stead crawled under the vehicle to see if he could repair the fault.

A truck laden with fruit and driven by Jean-Pierre Baran, of Inchy-En-Astois, crashed into the back of the artic, killing M. Baran and Mr Doyle. Mr Stead was seriously injured.

The driver of the artic, James Gregory, was in the cab of the Bedford at the time of the crash, and he was treated for shock.
