Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

As public relations consultants to Rockwell International we were interested to read your feature on hand-held calculators (CM, December 31).

I would, however, point Out the unfortunate assumption which appeared on page three of the feature and referred to again in the final two paragraphs of the fourth page. On the Rockwell BR model I can assure you that the recommended battery does fit the compartment and I think the problem that your colleagues had was simply that he tried replacing the cover with the battery positioned the wrong way round. All he had to do was to take out the battery — ensuring that it was firmly attached to the terminals — turn it round so that the wires were more fully extended and he would then have found that the battery cover would have slid back into place with no trouble at all.
