(Hauliers) Ltd. and E. G. Smith Ltd. Between them the two companies operate 80 vehicles and 40 trailers under A and Contract A licences and specialize in long-distance haulage.
The companies will continue to operate under their own names. In each case the board of directors will comprise Mr. John Castle, who was a member of the previous board of both companies; Mr. J. V. Coulson, Yorkshire district manager of BRS; and Mr. H. P. Sanders, North Western district manager of BRS.
Mr. Sanders has been appointed managing director of both companies.
